What We Do

Our Mission is to engage neighbors through arts education with live music, creating programs that promote well-being, support and encourage involvement in community life for seniors and under-served communities in Brooklyn.

Our Vision: At Community Arts Brooklyn, Inc. we envision universal access to the joy and fulfillment of art practice and live music in every corner of our borough, for older adults and for communities of all ages in Brooklyn. We conduct process-focused art classes with live musical accompaniment, creating vibrant combinations of intimate performances and exploratory art-making for communities that need it most. We aspire to create magnetic and welcoming environments for all who gather as neighbors to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of music and mark-making. Through collaboration with community partners serving every corner of Brooklyn–from Older Adult Centers to at-risk shelters, street fairs, and more–we aspire to cultivate conversation & elevate the experience of our neighbors, from our eldest to our youngest voices. Together, we build a future where Brooklyn is united in collaborative creation and boundless joy.
